Donation Supports Vital Upgrades at Walkerton Food Bank

In October, a cheque was presented to the Walkerton Food Bank for $40,000.  This amount was made possible by a generous grant made by a local donor and a contribution by The Masonic Foundation of Ontario.
 
Representing the Food Bank is its Director, Diane Waram.  Representing Saugeen Lodge # 197 is Worshipful Master Chris Fagan and Bruce District is R W Brother Thomas E. Boulding, DDGM.
 
The donation will be important in upgrading the refrigeration and storage units of the Food Bank over the upcoming weeks.

The Foundation was formed in 1964 by a special act of the Ontario Legislature.  It is a public foundation and a registered charity.

Supporting Poverty Relief, Education, and Community Well-being

The Foundation is permitted to use its donations for the relief of poverty, the advancement of education and the advancement of other purposes beneficial to the community.

Managing Donations Exclusively for Ontario Charitable Initiatives

The objects of the Foundation: to receive, maintain, manage, control and use donations exclusively for charitable purposes within Ontario.

Funding Bursaries, Research, Education, and Community Initiatives

The Foundation is committed to funding bursaries, medical research, education and other specific community projects which fall within its guidelines.
