About Us
From an initial investment of $90,000, the Foundation has grown over the years through donations, investments and bequests, to enable it to have paid out over $20,000,000 to various charities in all corners of the Province.
Over the decades, the Foundation has supported research into autism, children’s hearing disabilities, drug reduction programs, prostate cancer, bursaries for over twenty of the Province’s Community College students and provincial youth groups, not to mention dozens of community charities with money raised by local Masons and assisted by Foundation investments.
Throughout the entire world, Masons believe strongly in the concept of charity and benevolence. The Masons of Ontario have that same strong sense of duty for their fellow citizens and they can look back at the past sixty-plus years with great pride in the efforts that have been made to support so many areas of need in the Province.
The Masonic Foundation of Ontario is composed of men who will continue to provide financial support to those groups in the Province who do the very hard work of servicing the needs of our citizens. Our motto is “For the Cause of Good”, and we are confident that over the next sixty years we will provide benefits to those deserving groups which serve our communities.
